Mt. Airy is a community whose rich history reaches back to America’s beginnings. A popular resort spot where the wealthy citizens of Philadelphia would spend their summers in the mid-1700s, its rich history would soon include a Revolutionary War battle and later, a concerted effort to integrate the neighborhood. This legacy of diversity carries over as a point of pride today.
